Ole Miss definitely has a recycling problem. There are hardly any recycling bins on campus and the ones that are there are typically just thrown in with the regular trash.

Ole Miss dining has started a green meal plan to make students more aware. They have also began a "Meatless Monday" to encourage vegetarianism.

During the 2011 football season, more than 435 tons of waste were collected after game days at the University of Mississippi. Through recycling efforts made by the school and students since then, more and more of game day waste is being recycled.

I went to the Medicinal Plant Garden located at the University of Mississippi to get a tour of their new energy-efficient building. The building has been named the greenest on campus and features multiple new additions.

Ole Miss residence halls are installing low-flow shower heads into every dorm that will conserve water. Also, the Ole Miss law school has installed low-flush toilets to conserve water as well.
